He’s got my Irn Bru! Peter Bowsher’s Snowman will Schlurp a Phenomenal Scottish Bru for St Andrews Day

Be on your guard, that cheeky snowman is back! The award winning chainsaw carver, Peter Bowsher, will be outside St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth this Sunday from 12pm – 3pm, carving out his latest masterpiece:  Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman. But, in deference to the fact it is St Andrews Day on Sunday, the cheeky Snowman will be hugging his very own Irn-Bru!

Chainsaw Pete has already charmed visitors to Perth this year with a recent carving of Disney’s Wall-E and DC Thomson’s Oor Wullie, which went on to be sold for almost £700 in Radio Tay’s Cash for Kids Auction.

The Snowman carving is part of St John’s Shopping Centre’s Christmas celebrations every Sunday called Sunday Family Fundays.

Siobhan McConnell, St John’s Shopping Centre manager said “Pete is a real artist and there’s no challenge too great! A flying snowman, complete with can of Irn-Bru we felt was a great way to combine our Christmas activities with St Andrews Day celebrations and I’m really looking forward to seeing the end result. Visitors to the shopping centre can pop into the Greenland Grotto to see Wall-E and The Snowman at any point in the run up to Christmas.”

The Snowman will donated to Prince’s Trust, Irn-Bru’s nominated charity, for further fundraising after Christmas.
