Media Forum? Discuss Now
20/04/2007
After last night's Scottish Press Awards, it is only right that today's Forum topic should be related to it. So, the Daily Record, surely a worthy winner of the Newspaper of the Year title, yes?
If you aren't already aware, in a bid to breathe new life into the Forum, Spike yesterday pledged to try and come up with a new topic for debate every day. In fact, it said it will endeavour to post the debate topic early in the morning, in the hope that, within a couple of hours, people can have effectively a virtual conversation with each other, as they instantly reply to each other’s comments.
To give you advance warning, Monday’s debate will be about Scotland on Sunday’s just-launched Review magazine - so feel free take a peek at it the day before.
And, of course, please do suggest future Forum topics, sent to the usual address: info@allmediascotland.com

- "I believe that giving your site visitors the opportunity to respond to individual Spike items (as I'm doing now) in this format has probably affected the Forum. If this "what do you think?" feature for each Spike story was removed, then visitors could post responses and comments in the Forum and that way, perhaps, debate would be stimulated."
