On the Move

10/08/2007
The Sunday Mail’s crime and investigations reporter is said to be mulling over a handful of job offers after dramatically handing in her notice.

Jane Hamilton is being tight-lipped why she has resigned, after nearly four years at the paper. She was previously crime reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News. She said she “needed a change”.

"[Editor] Allan Rennie has been brilliant. When I told him my decision, we talked a lot about it. He was very understanding."

She is also considering going freelance.

Meanwhile, the communications officer at Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People is taking up a new posting.

Gordon Brown is heading to Asthma UK Scotland, to be its public affairs and communications manager.
