For a fledgling publisher, any free publicity always helps...and Dave McGinlay, the new manager of Highland League football club, Huntly, must have been happy that his team had been tied with Dundee in the Scottish Cup.

McGinlay - who launched glossy colour monthly sports magazine, Pitchside Sports, last year - featured in a big, match preview in the Scottish Daily Mail, with a large colour picture in which he was snapped against a backdrop of at least a dozen images of his magazine’s cover page.

He confided to the newspaper: “We’ve had six issues so far and it’s gruelling work. I’m not sure how I find the time for football.”

Sadly, Huntly lost 3-1.
