The Big Issue in Scotland magazine is set to instal a new deputy editor next week

Vicky Davidson is leaving her position as features writer on the Evening Times in Glasgow to take up the post.

Peter John Meiklem, who has been with the magazine for three years and has been working as acting deputy editor for these last four months, leaves today to become the new media and business correspondent at the Sunday Herald.

"We're delighted to able to announce that a journalist of Vicky Davidson's calibre is joining us," says editor, Paul McNamee. "She has a bank of experience on some big titles, both in Glasgow and London, and she is full of the right sort of ideas and attitude. She will prove to be a valuable
asset for the organistion."

The magazine is also to appoint a news reporter in the coming weeks.
