Glasgow Next Stop for Platform PR

28/01/2008
An award-winning public relations consultancy, with offices in Edinburgh and Beauly, is expanding with the opening of a new office, in Glasgow.

Platform PR announced its expansion as it marked its fifth birthday.

Platform chair, Flora Martin, will head the company’s presence in  Glasgow. One of the best known figures in the Scottish PR industry, Martin joined the company last year.

Says managing director, Jane Cumming: “The public relations industry continues to thrive in Scotland and, with Glasgow as the country’s media hub, it is important for us to have a presence there.”

The company now employs 11 people across its three offices and clients include Dell Computers, the National Lottery, the UHI Millennium Institute, Aquamarine Power and Abstract restaurants in Inverness and Edinburgh.

Platform has been named PR Team of the Year for two years running in the Scotland category of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards and has won a number of other industry accolades. Last year, it was the only Scottish consultancy among the finalists in the UK-wide PR Week Awards.
