Friedli Takes up Editorship in Cardiff
28/01/2008
Former Scotland on Sunday business news editor, Douglas Friedli, is settling into his new post in Cardiff as editor of the Wales Business Insider magazine.
Edinburgh-born Douglas told his SoS readers before leaving: “I am gutted to be going, because it seems to me that Scotland is a much more exciting place for enterprise than it was when I moved here in 2000.”
However, he decided his new job was a challenge he couldn't resist.
Douglas moved back to Scotland from his news editor role on The Engineer magazine, as a reporter on the ill-fated business a.m. newspaper.
When it folded, after a brief spell on the Evening News, he joined SoS as a business reporter, and was subsequently business news editor for the past five years.
