List Magazine to Launch Reader 'Eating Out' Card
07/02/2008
Edinburgh and Glasgow events magazine, The List, is inviting restaurateurs the opportunity to offers readers discounted meals.
The invitation is going out to coincide with the fortnightly magazine’s 15th Eating & Drinking Guide, to be published in April. It is estimated that each List reader spends £480 per year on eating out and the discounts would be available to those who possess a dedicated List card, still to be issued.
Participating restaurants would be able to offer ‘two for one’ or ‘50 per cent off’ discounts on selected days of the week, and cardholders would be invited to take advantage once a year at each restaurant.
Restaurateurs will be able to develop additional short-term offers which can be promoted online, through The List magazine and to LIST card members through a regular newsletter.
Restaurants can sign up to the scheme for free, and each restaurant will be provided with a dedicated web page on which they can promote themselves using photos, menus and other offers. The first 50 restaurants to sign up will have ‘Founder’ status and be eligible for an annual reader promotion in The List magazine worth an estimated £400.
