Golf Day to Raise Funds for Journalists’ Charity
28/04/2008
The Glasgow and West of Scotland branch of the Journalists’ Charity - which supports media workers who have fallen on hard times as was previously known as the Newspaper Press Fund - are organising a fund-raising golf day at one of the country’s best-known golfing locations.
‘Corporate Scotland’ is being invited to rub shoulders with journalists playing in the inaugural Wryter Cup, taking place on the 12th of next month at the new, Carrick Course at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
And the course is sure to be in prime condition, having been set up for some of the best female golfers in the world who will just have battled it out there for the Scottish Women’s Open.
The day ends with a three-course meal and a golf-related auction.
The cost of a four ball - with breakfast and the three-course meal, with wine: £1000.
Alternatively, ‘sponsor a hole’ for £1250, with team entry included.
For more details, contact Lindsay McGarvie on 0141 229 6705 or email him at Lindsay@mmm.pr
