Spike detects a deafening rustling of CVs among the media fraternity, as applications are sought for the director of communications post for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The oganising committee is now seeking a media supremo following the appointment of a chair and chief executive. The advertisment for the post declares: “You will have held a senior position leading on communications, public relations  and media. Ideally, you will have experience of working across a range of public, private and voluntary organisations.”

Applications close on the 30th of this month.
