A golf day to raise funds for the Journalists’ Charity has secured a pair of the hottest tickets in town - as late addition prizes.

The Wryter Cup Golf Day - at Loch Lomond on Monday - has two tickets for Wednesday’s UEFA Cup final, where Rangers will take on Zenit St Petersburg.

The competition is being staged by the Glasgow and west of Scotland branch of the charity, which used to be known as the Newspaper Press Fund.

There are still two, fourballs available at the event at a cost of £1000 for the day at the luxury, Carrick course at Cameron House, which includes a three-course dinner.
