Profile Plus Flying High with New Account Win
13/05/2008
An Edinburgh-based PR agency has secured a commission from Europe’s largest low-fares airline, easyJet.
Profile Plus won the Scottish consumer PR account for easyJet, following a three-way pitch led by senior account Manager, Kerry Teakle.
The win comes on the back of scooping four other travel and lifestyle accounts, including the return - after a four-year break - of the locally-based The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
Festival Inns has appointed Profile Plus to develop a celebratory campaign for the ten-year-old, capital-based Three Sisters bar and neighbouring Tailors Hall Hotel.
Meanwhile, the Macdonald Roxburghe has taken the agency on board to help relaunch its flagship hotel in Edinburgh.
Says Profile Plus managing director, Robyn Glynne-Percy: “We are increasingly being recognised for our experience and strength in the leisure and lifestyle sector which these new and significant appointments demonstrate. Being the only Scottish-based PR agency in this sector has enormous benefits for our clients and in our dealings with the media.
“We are thoroughly conversant with the tourism and hospitality industries and provide real value to our clients’ businesses. The media regard us as a ‘one-stop shop’; they know they can call us for an angle, case study or comment and we can help them with several relevant ideas at any given time.”
Elsewhere, one of Scotland’s biggest PR agencies has taken on a new member of staff, to bolster its Inverness-based operation.
Weber Shandwick has appointed Rebecca Somers, as account manager. Recently, she was a senior communications officer with the Scottish Social Services Council.
Weber Shandwick has four offices in Scotland: Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.
