McKenzie Joins Up with Army Radio

25/06/2008
A former senior producer on the all-speech, Edinburgh-based radio station, talk107, is to become breakfast show host on a radio station dedicated to the local army regiments.

Mark McKenzie is joining 98.5 Garrison FM, the British Army’s own radio station. This is his second spell there. As well as talk107, he has worked also for Radio Forth, Scot FM, BBC Radio Scotland and Kingdom FM. He will continue to present a Saturday sports show at talk.

Set up by former Radio One DJ, Mark Page, Garrison FM broadcasts from studios in Dreghorn Barracks, Edinburgh. It provides the military, their families, MoD civilians and the wider community a mix of music and army information.

McKenzie helped set it up, four years ago.

The Garrison FM network also includes stations in Aldershot, Catterick, Colchester and Salisbury Plain.
