The deputy editor of the Edinburgh Evening News is off on his holidays next week, and well deserved they are too.

But some colleagues are wondering just how little he is being paid, following the sending out of the following, on the company’s internal e-mail system:

“Jim Morrison is off on holiday next week and is looking to borrow two sleeping bags (for indoor use). If you can help, email him before the end of this week.”
