Shennan in Demand - Thanks Partly to Allmediascotland
07/08/2008
Ah, the reach of allmediascotland.com. Recent contributor, Francis Shennan, was contacted last week by the Nick Ferrari breakfast show on London's LBC radio station, the other evening.
It was to do a telephone interview the next morning on privacy, following Prince Philip's decision to complain to the Press Complaints Commission over a story in local newspaper, the Evening Standard, about his health.
"We saw the piece you wrote on the Max Mosley case," said the researcher.
That was the piece that appeared on allmediascotland last week.
The interview was with Ferrari's stand-in, Andrew Pierce, who had reported in the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday that Prince Philip intended to make the issue a test case for Royal privacy.
In the course of preparing for the programme, Shennan found another piece he had written on privacy following a Court of Appeal case.
It began: "Privacy will replace libel as the media's main legal problem."
That also appeared on allmediascotland... in January last year.
