Former Scottish Sunday Express Stalwart Dies
15/08/2008
The funeral of a former chief sportswriter at the Scottish Sunday Express takes place on Monday.
Ken Robertson died, aged 75, after a long illness. His funeral is at Warriston Crematorium Cloister Chapel, Edinburgh, at 2.30pm.
He joined the paper from the Sunday Post in 1957, retiring in 1995.
Says David Hamilton, executive editor of Scottish Express Newspapers: “All the contacts he made on his travels, including abroad, on behalf of the paper, would become his friends. That they became friends was because of the great, big guy he was.”
A tribute will be appearing in this weekend’s Scottish Sunday Express.
