School Returns with Launch of Radio Station
20/08/2008
It's the first day of term....and pupils and teachers at Scotland's only school with a full-time radio station are today being asked what it’s like to be returning.
Jubilee1 started broadcasting online earlier this month, ahead of a scheduled FM launch - approved by broadcasting regulators, Ofcom - in autumn.
And with studios in Queensferry High - as well as elsewhere - its operators, Caledonia Media, are providing pupils with the opportunity to learn presenting and production skills.
Jubilee1 will specialise in music, from the 1980s to the present. It has studios too in North Queensferry, South Queensferry and the Scottish Parliament.
When it launches om FM, it will be on the 107.6 frequency. But hear it online now, here.
