Film fans are being invited to choose their best European film this year, in an online poll that features British movie, Atonement, among the nominations.

The People’s Choice poll is being run by the European Film Academy, and runs from now to the end of October. Previous winners include Pedro Almodóvar's Volver, Roberto Benigni's La Vita e Bella, Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Amelie, Peter Cattaneo's The Full Monty, and Fatih Akin’s Head-On.

This year’s shortlist is Arn: The Knight Templar, Atonement, Ben X, Welcome to the Sticks, The Orphanage, Hunting and Gathering, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Rabbit Without Ears, Mongol, [Rec], and Saturno Contro.
