The managing director of a trio of Scottish radio stations has had his remit extended: to include the owners’ north-east of England’s stations too.

GMG Radio Scotland’s Billy Anderson until yesterday oversaw the Real, Smooth and Rock stations in Scotland. Now, he be looking after the fortunes of GMG’s north-east of England operations: Century Radio, and the local versions of Smooth and Rock.
