‘Future of Advertising’ Invite Issued to Scottish Agencies
06/03/2007
Scottish advertising agencies are being invited to take a peek into the future of their industry, at a seminar in Edinburgh next week.
The invitation is from trade body, the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, which has commissioned research into what might lie in store for agencies.
The event in Edinburgh is taking place a week on Friday.
Says the IPA: “The advertising industry is facing unprecedented challenges to its historical dominance in the marketing communications sector: new media, data driven approaches and consumer-generated networks all vie for the attention and budgets of the brand marketer.
“In order to promote a strategic response to the big questions about the future of advertising, the nature of marketing and most importantly, the role of the agency in the future, fundamental research was required.
“The IPA commissioned the Future Foundation to look at how the brand and media environment might evolve and how the ‘agency’ might look in 2016.”
