Once, Twice, Three Times a Story
09/03/2007
What was it about a story about contestants in the TV talent show, X Factor - the MacDonald Brothers - that had The Herald in such a spin?
Because they liked the story so much they put it in the paper three times on the same day.
Tuesday’s Herald carried a feel-good item on page nine about the Scots singing duo getting a record deal.
The X Factor competitors were said to be delighted that they had signed a two-album contract with Scottish independent label, The Music Kitchen, and production was to be handled by ex-Bay City Roller, Stuart ‘Woody’ Wood.
They then did a Briefing item on Page 12, and a further story in the Diary on Page 13.
It wasn’t that good, was it?
