FIRST, provide some personal details online, then be prepared for a possible invite on to a TV programme – that’s the strategy being adopted by stv, ahead of a ‘speed dating’ programme to be broadcast next month.
Club Cupid desribes itself as “a dating show for the web generation”, and the producers are looking for young men and women of all ages from across Scotland to take part.
Every week, stv will be giving one man and woman the chance to speed date five potential suitors, promising: “but it’s speed dating with a twist”.
But first, prospective participants are required to register their details on stv’s recently-launched website, which owners, SMG, have been heavily marketing: www.stv.tv
