Clean sweep for film just rhapsodic

A FILM about scaling the world’s hardest rock climb – on Dumbarton Rock, near Glasgow, no less – has swept the boards at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival.

‘E11’, which documents Scottish climber Dave MacLeod’s ascent of the rock climb, Rhapsody, has taken all three film awards up for grabs at the festival: Best Film, Best Climbing Film and the People’s Choice Awards.

Says Dave Brown, the managing director of the company that made the film, Hot Aches: “We are really chuffed.”
