A SECOND former BBC Scotland journalist is to fight a by-election in Glasgow, created by the standing down of ex-Commons Speaker, Michael Martin.
Ruth Davidson has been selected by the Scottish Conservatives to contest the Glasgow North East seat and will be going to head-to-head with the SNP’s David Kerr, also a former BBC Scotland reporter.
Says a report on the BBC website, Davidson spent most of her nine years in journalism with BBC Scotland where she worked as a presenter, news journalist and documentary maker.
She also worked for Real Radio. She left the Corporation earlier this year and is now studying international development at Glasgow University.
