The Culture Show gets new editor

THE BBC’s magazine-style arts programme, The Culture Show, which is made partly in Glasgow, has got itself a new editor.

Janet Lee is currently the editor of BBC One’s flagship arts and culture strand, Imagine, presented by Alan Yentob.

Previously, she was commissioning editor for arts at Channel 4, and prior to that has worked on arts and history output ranging from the Late Show to series producer on the History of Britain.

Janet will take over from previous incumbent Edward Morgan, who announced he was stepping down from The Culture Show in order to take up a post as head of the College of Production at The BBC Academy.

Recently expanded to 60 minutes long, a new series of it starts on Thursday. It is also made in London.
