TV journalism nomination for BBC Scotland’s Campbell

BBC Scotland’s political correspondent, Glenn Campbell, is among the Scots nominated for prizes at awards celebrating the best of journalism on television.

He has been nominated in the ‘Scoop of the year’ category in the Television Journalism Awards, being hosted by the Royal Television Society. It was for breaking the story that Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, was to be released from jail – more than a week before it was announced by the Scottish Government.

The BBC Scotland Investigations team has also been nominated in the ‘Nations and regions’ category, for the best news and current affairs documentary – for Mark Daly’s 60-minute film on the Glasgow terror attack: ‘Inside Scotland’s Terror Cell’.

The awards ceremony takes place on the 24th of this month.
