Broadcasting Taking Centre Stage in Scotland Bill Deliberations

Broadcasting is taking centre stage this afternoon at the Scottish Parliament, as a committee examining the UK Government's Scotland Bill, takes evidence from half a dozen well-known TV figures in Scotland.

The committee meeting – taking place this afternoon, from 2.30pm – sees evidence being given by, among others, Blair Jenkins, former head of news and current affairs at BBC Scotland and, more recently, chair of the Scottish Broadcasting Commission.

He has been asked to provide some opening remarks, which will be published on allmediascotland.com from 3pm (see below).

He is being joined by Bill Matthews, Trustee for Scotland, BBC Trust; Ken MacQuarrie, Director, BBC Scotland; Jane Muirhead, Scottish representative and managing director, PACT and Raise the Roof Productions; and Vicki Nash, Director, and David Mahoney, Director of Policy, Content & Standards, both at Ofcom Scotland.
