Radio station appointment reportedly a hoped-for end to a feud

THE appointment of a new manager at a community radio station serving the isle of Bute is being reported as a hoped-for end to a feud.

Last week, it was announced that Douglas Lyle would be the new station manager of Bute FM.

And says today’s Herald, “the station is hoping to put its troubles behind it”, following “a long-running and bitter feud among some of the 7,000 islanders”, which involved the departure of a “popular breakfast show presenter” and criticism of the management style of a now departed manager.
