Another two community radio stations added to Scots’ roster

THE network of community radio stations throughout Scotland is being joined by a further two.

Applications for a community radio licence from Penicuik-based Crystal FM and Haddington-based East Coast FM have been accepted by the broadcasting regulators, Ofcom.

The not-for-profit operations will be serving, respectively, Midlothian and East Lothian.

In July, Ofcom approved community radio licences for Sound of Mull Radio and Cambuslang-based Camglen Radio.

Licences are awarded for five years.
