WHEN broadcasting regulators, Ofcom, announced, in February, the awarding of a community radio licence to operate in the Scottish Borders, it was the seventh such award to be announced for Scotland this year.
The Scottish Borders licence was for Galashiels-based TD1 Radio and followed, from the previous month, the following awards:
