DJ MASH poised to take on Friday night radio slot

A SCOTS DJ who has worked around the world is to take over the reins of a Friday night show on the Bauer Media network of Scots radio stations, such as Radio Clyde and Northsound.

Martyn Henderson, aka MASH, is to be the new presenter of the Friday night slot, In:Demand Dance, being broadcast from 10pm to 1am.

He is taking over from current host, Krystle, who – says a media release announcing the appointment of Henderson – “will remain at Radio Forth and continue to present her regular Saturday night programme”.

The release says Henderson has “played in clubs and at festivals all over the world from Ibiza to New York to Russia to Brazil”. He is originally from Ayr. The release adds: “In the UK, the DJ has played in clubs including Sub Club, Buff Club, Bugged Out, Turnmills, 93 Feet East, The Forum, 333 Club, Snafu and The Arches. His extensive list of festival appearances includes Lovebox, T in the Park, Rockness, Homelands and various festivals around Europe.”

And Brian Paige, programme director at Radio Forth, is quoted, as saying: “We’d like to thank Krystle for such a huge contribution to the Floorfillers show from 2004 and then In:Demand Dance from 2011. During the past nine years, her enthusiasm in the dance music field and her dedication to Bauer Media and its listeners has shone through. Krystle is a fantastic ambassador for the Scottish network and she will remain a part of the Bauer Media team.”
