WELCOME to Media Movers, reporting the latest moves within the Scottish media, including promotions and retirements.

FIRSTLY, congratulations to Tracey McNellan, appointed managing director of Your Radio, which broadcasts throughout the Firth of Clyde, including Helensburgh and Dumbarton.

For almost 20 years, Tracey (pictured) worked at Radio Clyde, latterly as programme director and, more recently, Capital FM East Midlands, based in Nottingham, where she was also managing director.

CORPORATE publishing company, Connect Communications, has made two appointments, including welcoming back a former editor.

Richard Goslan (pictured left – pic credit: Scott Richmond) returns to the Paisley-based business following three years living and working in Santiago, Chile, while Amanda Crawford has joined as a new editorial assistant.

Goslan started his journalistic career with the DC Thomson group in Glasgow before going on to work around the world for both Kyodo and NHK in Japan, CNBC in Hong Kong and CNN International in London. He has also been involved in the launch or consulting for some 15 television news networks in various places around the world.

Before leaving Connect, he was editor of CA Magazine Online.

In a Connect media release, Goslan is quoted, as saying: “South America was fascinating but home is home, and I’m delighted to be back.

“I worked with Connect for two years before heading to Chile, and it’s great to see the team going from strength to strength, and to be able to play a part in that.

“I’m excited to get re-connected with my wonderful colleagues here and get back into creating great copy and video.”

Crawford has just graduated from Cardonald College Glasgow, where she studied practical journalism.
