A NEW ‘going out guide’ is to be launched by The Edinburgh Evening News, with the first issue out a week tomorrow. It will comprise 24 pages and be full colour.
It is appearing as the evening newspaper market hots up in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, following the recent launch of the Daily Record’s PM editions. The Edinburgh Evening News is the current Scottish Newspaper of the Year.
Says editor, John McLellan: “Outside London, Edinburgh is the most vibrant place for entertainment in the UK for both locals and visitors alike and our new section aims to capture the excitement of the great nights out that are on offer here all year round. It is the most significant addition to the Evening News for many years and will considerably broaden the paper’s appeal.”
