IT’S an easy mistake to make, what with policemen getting younger all the time.
Yesterday’s Scottish Sun had what was billed as a rant from the dad of AWOL Scotland striker, Garry O’Connor.
But, it was his grandad instead who the reporters spoke to, prompting PA to quickly recall, yesterday morning, a story it had written on the back of it.
Spike understands the reporters made a point, during the course of the interview, of asking the man if he was Garry’s father and was told by him he was.
Hence the misunderstanding, prompting an apology in today’s paper.
