Scottish editor for new travel mag

A NEW magazine aimed at those who organise or provide travel for groups of people, large or small, including to holiday destinations abroad, has been launched, with a former BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster at its helm.

West Lothian-based Simon Walton, who has been operating in PR and feature journalism for the last five years, has been appointed editor of ‘Group Travel Today’, which is published by Beau Business Media, a specialist magazine company headquartered in Birmingham.

With the magazine launching in May, Walton promises: “We’ll be offering a high-quality publication, full of useful and relevant information, and full of great journalism. For anyone with an interest in the group travel industry, it will be a great read. The best thing about Group Travel Today is that anyone can pick up the title and enjoy it, cover to cover.”

Five issues are planned for this year, with the title going monthly next year.

Walton will be working on the title on a full-time basis, but still intends to meet his feature writing and PR commitments.
