Tierney triumphant again

THE Herald’s Michael Tierney has again been chosen as Feature Writer of the Year at the British Press Awards.

Beating off a challenge from, among others, Scottish freelancer, Jean Rafferty, he picked up the title at a ceremony held in London last night.

The awards also saw The Observer taking the title of Newspaper of the Year and the Daily Mirror scooping two prizes, including for Front Page of the Year.
