Bevan-Pritchard laid off after just a fortnight

BARELY a fortnight after starting work for a Glasgow photo agency and picture library, the former picture editor at the Sunday Herald has been laid off.

Emily Bevan-Pritchard and photographer, Chrtis James, have been let go by Epicscotland, thus reducing the agency to owner/photographer, Ashley Coombes, and fellow photographer, Graham Hamilton, based in Edinburgh.

Said Coombes: “During the three months between me appointing Emily and her starting – because of the notice period she had to give – things have got a lot harder, the landscape has changed.”

Bevan-Pritchard had been taken on as picture editor. She had been at the Sunday Herald for four-and-a-half years; following two years as picture editor of The Sunday Times Scotland.

Both Bevan-Pritchard and James have gone freelance.
