PRIME Minister, Gordon Brown, will find out tomorrow if he is considered the greatest-ever Fifer, or whether the accolade belongs to the ‘father of modern economics’, Adam Smith, or the philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie.
Or perhaps someone else entirely, as the Fife Free Press group prepares to unveil its top 100 most influential Fifers of all time, among them three kings, a Nobel prizewinner and a string of world-class sportsmen and musician. Even a ‘Time Lord’.
The FP100 – being issued tomorrow as a supplement – was collated by journalists across the Fife Free Press Group.
Says editor, Allan Crow: “Who should be in the top 100, from a list of over 170 names, sparked huge debates around the offices.”
The 28-page supplement is being given away with the Fife Free Press, and sister titles, the East Fife Mail, Fife Herald, St Andrews Citizen and Glenrothes Gazette.
