Adams triumphs again at Amnesty awards

FOR the second time in three finals, Herald journalist, Lucy Adams, has won a Scottish media prize highlighting human rights issues.

A piece by Adams, published in September, has taken the Scottish title at this year’s Amnesty International Media Awards. ‘The fight for justice’ looked at the use of rape as a weapon of war in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Said the judges: “An extraordinary piece of journalism. One of the best arguments we have read in a long long time. Just brilliant from start to finish; terrific, compelling.”
