Networking event aiming to bring capital’s creative and corporate communities together

A NETWORKING event for people working in the creative industries – which saw, when it was last staged, a filming job being offered to one of the attendees – is taking place in Edinburgh at the end of the month.

Creative Edinburgh is kicking off its events calendar this year with a ‘Creative and Corporate Love’ networking event, aiming to bring the creative and corporate communities together.

From a previous Creative and Corporate Love event, one of the beneficiaries was director-cameraperson, Gavin Turnbull, who is quoted, as saying: “Halfway through the evening, I was approached by another filmmaker who offered me some work which turned out to be filming Donald Trump. I had no idea that there would be such an immediate pay-off.”

Among those expected to attend are Swedish photographer, Jannica Honey – who has had work published in a wide number of publications, including Vogue and The Guardian – and senior Leith agency manager, Ed Brooke.

The event is being held on the 31st of this month on the Leith agency ‘barge boat’, in Edinburgh.
