As reported elsewhere, the daughter of a former world boxing champion is to strike a blow for Scottish romantics, by co-hosting a new dating show on stv.
Michelle Watt – daughter of Scot, Jim Watt – is to be one of two presenters of Club Cupid, her colleague being Des Clarke, who has previously presented ITV1’s Saturday morning live programme, SM:TV Live, Invention SOS for Discovery channel, Sky One’s Whatever, and also the Breakfast Show on radio station, Beat 106.
Jim Watt won the world lightweight title in 1979.
In the past, Michelle has presented Junior Eurovision for ITV2 and This Morning Puzzle Book for ITV Play. She has also worked on BBC Radio Scotland and been involved in snooker management.
Club Cupid, which will be filmed in Dundee, is a described by stv as “a brand new dating show for the web generation”. Via stv’s website, stv.tv, there’s the chance to speed-date five potential suitors.
