SPIKE liked: Alan Yentob’s opening gambit when interviewing comedy writer, Armando Iannucci, at yesterday’s MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
Talking about how Iannucci embarked upon his career, the former BBC Two Controller and current creative director at the Beeb, asked: “Was it because of your name that you felt you should go into comedy?”
To which the Scot quickly replied, “Not at all, Alan Yentob.”
