Request put out by River City for writers

BBC Scotland’s flagship drama, River City, is asking new script writers from across the country to submit their work.

Speaking at a question-and-answer session in Edinburgh yesterday, Sandra MacIver, the show’s executive producer, said that the soap, which attracts around half a million viewers, prides itself on “fantastic dialogue” and “bold stories” and that hopefuls should bear this in mind when submitting scripts.
