THE recent re-launch of TV station, stv’s new website is being closely tracked by at least one keen observer – the independent company taken on to sell advertising on the site.
Sonic Network is hoping – as, no doubt www.stv.tv is – that the website will soon become Scotland’s most popular website, overtaking current ‘big guns’ such as scotsman.com
Sonic Network, which also sources adverts for allmediascotland.com, has recently been appointed by stv as its external online sales house to work alongside the existing its sales team.
Says Rupert Vereker, managing director of Sonic Network: “This is one of the biggest online events of 2006. We fully expect stv.tv to become the biggest site in Scotland. It offers multi channel possibilities as a stand-alone medium, which together with stv airtime, will create a truly innovative media mix. For the first-time local advertiser to the UK market buyer, stv.tv opens up a potential new market of up to 3.7 million Scots online.”
