Revenue split offered to hacks

RETIRED or unemployed journalists are being invited to hook up with a Glasgow-based company specialising in setting up websites to turn their writing into advertising revenue which they then split on a 50-50 basis.

The company behind www.Glasgow.com – plus 800 other websites – is offering the chance for journalists to develop their own sites, with any revenues generated, for instance via Google ads, split down the middle.

Says Tommy Butler, managing director of Glasgow.com Ltd: “We have spoken to a guy who offers this facility to journalists in the USA and it seems to work very well for both parties.”
