TalentNation assures ‘amicable’ solution to staff severance issues

A SPORTS video website run by former Scottish Sun editor, Steve Sampson, has assured that an ‘amicable’ solution will be found to severance pay issues involving former staff.

It follows news that a Glasgow law firm had been hired to issue civil court proceedings against TalentNation – a video showcase for talented sportspeople.

Reports The Drum media and marketing magazine, legal fim, Jeffrey Aitken, is representing former staff.

When allmediascotland contacted the lawyers, to confirm whether or not a writ had been served on TalentNation, and to ascertain how many people were involved, it gave the same reply as it did The Drum, namely: “I can confirm that we are acting for clients who are pursuing claims in relation to TalentNation.”

A spokesperson for TalentNation, told allmediascotland.com: “Sadly, we had to lose some people a few months back mainly in the commercial side in favour of an agency deal giving better value to the business. There are some issues on severance but they will be amicably solved.”
