Former Editor's Sports Video Website Finally Wound Up

A website set up by a former editor of The Scottish Sun, which invited talented sports people to upload videos of themselves in action, has been formally wound up.

It was expected that talentnation owner, Steve Sampson, would be yesterday present at the Court of Session to dispute a liquidation move by Scottish Enterprise, which had reportedly funded the website to the tune of £1 million.

But, says The Drum media and marketing magazine, which has extensively reported the demise of the venture, Sampson – also a former Daily Record director – was not present.

The Herald today echoes much of The Drum's reporting, including saying that the company's end “comes after a number of employees launched legal action of their own claiming they were owed wages after leaving the business”.
