Blogging training aimed at helping businesses with their communications and marketing

BLOGGING, as part of a communications and marketing mix for businesses, large or small, is to be the subject of a workshop being hosted by a digital consultant.

Mike McGrail, founder of The Social Penguin blog and MD of Velocity Digital, has launched Velocity Academy, a series of face-to-face training sessions covering the key aspects of digital marketing and communications. The first session is described by McGrail as a ‘blogging masterclass’ and is taking place in Edinburgh on the 24th of next month.

Said McGrail: “A natural off-shoot of the digital marketing strategy work I carry out for Velocity Digital clients is training, and many of my clients have seen the benefits of my practical approach. This made me think that it would be attractive to people from all types of business to be able to come along to courses comprising of small groups and that take a highly practical approach to learning. Each course participant has PC access, meaning they can immediately put into practice the knowledge I am giving over during the session, and leave knowing that they can put everything they’ve learned into action when they are back at their desks. I like to offer very hands-on training and encourage participation from attendees.”

McGrail launched Velocity Digital in October last year after a career spent in agencies and at Standard Life.
