GLASGOW Caledonian University is seeking to recruit a shorthand tutor to teach on its postgraduate and undergraduate Multimedia Journalism programmes.

The main purpose of this 0.5 open-ended role is to deliver teaching and learning for assessment in GCU shorthand modules and shorthand modules accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering lectures and tutorials in shorthand for undergraduate and postgraduate level students.

Candidates should have experience in teaching Teeline Shorthand, preferably to journalists/trainee journalists and candidates should be familiar with the requirements of the NCTJ shorthand exams and may have had experience of administering/holding such exams.
