News sub-editor

Based in Aberdeen, you will be in the thick of the action with our six edition daily production schedule.

We produce editions across the Highlands and north-east of Scotland, each tailored to a specific region in our circulation area. This involves multiple page changes throughout each night’s production run.

This is a demanding and rewarding role, which requires skill, concentration and accuracy. An ability to thrive under pressure and work at speed are essential. A flair for page layout and eye-catching headlines would be an advantage, but training will be given .

It’s a golden opportunity to take your subbing skills to a new level, so previous newsroom experience and a complete grasp of the English language are required.
